Isabel Violet Banks, Early 20th century, Watercolour, Scobitor Farm, Dartmoor. Scobitor is known for the folly sitting south west of the farm in Widecombe overlooking the East Webburn Valley. Signed, dated 1920 and titled Scobitor lower right and titled verso. Approx. 6 1/4" x 10 1/4"

This watercolour and a number of others in this auction are by Isabel Violet Banks, from her personal collection of travels, born in Opawa, New Zealand. She was the granddaughter of the famous violin maker Benjamin Banks. Works by Banks can be found at the National Library of New Zealand.
