Approx. 22 3/4'' x 29 1/2'' The Jewish artist Sala Russota (nee Schwarz) studied art in an academy in Berlin, and was praised by prominent art critics of the day. Russota fled Germany before World War II / Two, emigrating to Palestine in 1933 to continue pursuing her art career. Provenance: From the collection of Dr Otto Halpern and his wife Hilde, inscribed 'Fur Hilde - with love from Sala'
