Francis Mee - Higham Ferrers : An oak cased 8-day long case clock with painted break arch 12" dial Signed Francis Mee, Higham Ferrers. c.1800. The whole standing approx 78" high

Francis Mee of Higham Ferrers (f.1781 - 1841) was apprenticed to Joseph Paxton of Higham Ferrers in 1781. He was trading as a clockmaker in the town by 1794, when he married Ann Wright. Mee was active as a clockmaker in Higham Ferrers until at least 1841.
