A copper Victorian ship's chamber pot, with swing handle and applied brass plaque: 'Winner - Commander John B. Martin - 'Suffolk' 1860 - The Melbourne Run - 70 Days - owners Money Wigram.' Approx 7" tall x 12" wide, 12 1/2" deep.

The Blackwall Frigate 'Suffolk' is listed as having been completed at Money Wigram's Northam yard in February 1857. The company established a monthly service to Australia, typically carrying private passengers, gold and wool back to London.
