A 19thC carved coconut shell with stand and rectangular lid, profusely decorated with scrimshaw / engraved detail depicting various vignettes, possibly coats of arms, to include a landscape scene within a triangle with tents and the setting sun over the ocean, surrounded by war weapons with crossed cannons under; swagged flags with a landscape scene within a shield;, stylised animals, crossed swords, flowers, foliage, stylised birds to include eagle, turkey, etc. Approx. 6" high overall
