XIX-XX, German School, Oil on canvas, Gathering Sticks, A portrait of a young girl gathering sticks in a landscape with a church spire in the distance. Possibly an original image for one of the advertising trading cards for Compagnie Liebig / Liebig's Extract of Meat Company, trading cards production began in 1872 and featured stories and historical scenes.
