A 17thC oak Wainscot chair, See 'Oak Furniture, The British Tradition, by Victor Chinnery, revised edition, pg 433, figures 4:129. This armchair is from the Yorkshire / Lancashire region, with its double scrolled pediment and carved bird crests and ear pieces. The chair raised on turned front legs united by a box stretcher. 24" wide x 21 deep x 50" high.
