A 19thC jug commemorating Peterloo, the bulbous body with a blue glaze decorated with a portrait of politician Henry Hunt with the motto The Great Champion of Reform, the reverse decorated with flags, weapons, and a Cap of Liberty arranged around the inscription
No Corn Bill / Universal Suffrage and scrolls titled Habeas Corpus, and Bill of Rights. Below reads Annual Parliaments and Vote by Ballot. With a copper lustre rim, handle and base. Approx. 4 3/4" high
